This 1700s cathedral named St. Michaels was leveled by the Soviets in the 1930s. In 1999 it was reconstructed as a replica by the newly independent Ukraine. They don't allow photographing inside, sorry, but its sheer beauty, magnificence and detail is remarkable. You wonder where mankind decided that this type of building is somehow an honor to God.
