Supermarket

The supermarket we went to was exactly like supermarkets at home. There was lots of variety of everything priced properly. Only difference I noticed was the rows of tables of unpackaged fancy pastries, breads and buns that gets made locally. I recall the images of National Geographic magazine showing Russian women folk walking home from market with a unpackaged loaf of bread under a sweaty hammy arm... Not exactly my style but hey, each to his own. PS The packaged commercially made bread sold alongside the homemade bread is referred to as "poor man's bread".
